The Old Course St. Andrews is undoubtedly Scotland’s most famous golf course. Renowned as the ‘home of golf’, it is a ‘must-visit’ destination for the avid golfer.
We are delighted to announce Platinum Golf Scotland has been appointed as an “Authorised Provider” by the St. Andrews Links Trust. This means we now have an allocation of Guaranteed Old Course Tee Times for 2018 during the following months.
April – sold
May – available
June – available
July – available
August – Available
Although 2018 seems a long way off, the demand for the “St. Andrews Old Course” is always extremely high and if you are thinking about a trip to play the Old Course in 2018 we would encourage you to register your interest as early as possible.
Our Old Course packages are for a minimum of 4 golfers but we can cater for groups of 8 and in some instances we may be able to accommodate larger groups. If you are thinking about coming in 2018 please provide us with your preferred month of play, how many in your group, and we will prioritise your request in accordance with our availability.
When thinking about your itinerary please tell us which other courses you would like to play. You may wish to choose the St. Andrews area only, in which case we would recommend the Castle Course, Kingsbarns and Crail. You may wish to consider playing other Open venues such as Carnoustie, Muirfield, Troon and Turnberry.
We would strongly recommend any itinerary should consider the Highlands of Scotland with courses as good as any – Royal Dornoch, Castle Stuart, The Nairn, Tain and Brora along with two classic “Hidden Gems” – Fortrose & Rosemarkie and although not a links course, Boat of Garten, regarded by many as Scotland’s “Hidden Gem”.
Whatever you choose we can also include sightseeing and VIP whisky tours to give you a true Scottish Experience.
Due to annual commitments, the Old Course in August is an extremely busy month. Similarly, September is heavily committed to competitions and therefore very few advanced bookings are accepted.
The daily ballot is a lottery style ballot, enabling a minimum of two golfers to enter their names, home clubs and handicaps 2 days before they wish to play. The ballot takes place every day of the week with the exception of Friday as there is no play on the Old Course on Sundays.
If your preference is to try the ballot system, we are more than happy to coordinate this on your behalf.
